About The Pornfessor and Our Methodology

Who Is The Pornfessor?

The Pornfessor is the editorial persona behind this site: a teacher with a chalkboard, a dry sense of humor and a low tolerance for sloppy websites. We are an independent review site and directory that tests, grades and ranks paid adult membership sites for readers aged 18 and over.

Here is how the business works, stated plainly. We earn a commission when you join a site through one of our links. That is what pays for the research, and it costs you nothing extra. Commission rates do not decide where a site sits on a ladder. The grading criteria below do.

How We Grade Sites

Every site is graded against seven criteria. Each one answers a practical question a paying member would ask.

• Content library and production. How deep and varied is the catalog, how well is it shot and directed, and does the studio make its own material?
• Video quality and devices. How does the picture look on real screens, how stable is streaming, and do downloads, mobile browsers and TV casting work?
• Update consistency. Do new releases arrive on a visible rhythm, with honest dates, or does the library coast on recycled scenes?
• Interface and search. Can you find what you want quickly through tags, performer pages, filters and a clean mobile layout?
• Privacy and billing discretion. How secure is checkout, what appears on your statement, and how much personal data does the site collect?
• Pricing transparency and cancellation. Are prices, trial terms and rebill terms clear before you pay, and is canceling simple?
• Compliance. Does the operator publish 18+ record-keeping details and consent or ethics policies, and run a proper age gate?

Compliance and billing act as gates, not bonus points. A site that fails them stays off the list however polished its content looks.

How Rankings Are Updated

Each category hub is a ladder of brands. Editors re-check sites, and when something changes, whether that is a redesign, a billing tweak, a slowdown in releases or a new policy, the ladder is adjusted to match.

The dates shown on our pages are real review dates. If we have not re-checked a page, its date does not move, and we never refresh a date just to look current.

What We Never List

Some lines are not up for negotiation. We do not list, review or link to:

• Anything involving minors, or marketing built on youthful framing.
• Non-consensual content of any kind.
• Hidden-camera or voyeur material.
• Pirated or re-hosted content that the operator has no right to distribute.
• Deepfakes of real people.
• Escort or prostitution services.

If a site or a niche relies on any of these, it is out, and the same goes for a site that is later found to cross one of these lines.

Corrections and Contact

Sites change faster than reviews do, and we sometimes miss things. If you spot a factual error, an outdated detail, a billing change or a listing that breaks the rules above, write to info@thepornfessor.com. Performers and rights holders with a concern about a listed site are welcome to use the same address. We read every report, correct pages when the report checks out, and remove sites that do not belong.
